Website Hosting which is Unreliable Can affect your Ranking
Jul/090
A gentleman called me on the telephone yesterday worried about that his website had disappeared out of the search engines. He had a website built approx 9 months ago by a ‘Friend of the Family’, he had noticed on several occasions his listing had gone missing from Google and Yahoo but eventually had reappeared (may be a few days / a week later) . However on this occassion it had not reappeared at all.
We tried to look up the website for him and found that the website server was ‘Down’ according to the gentleman whenever he had directly looked up the website more often than not he had found the server to be down

Meta Tags and their correct use for the Search Engines
Jul/090
Meta Tags and the way they are used in a website are so important as they can massively effect ‘where’ and ‘if’ a website gets listed in Google and the other major search engines for those important Keywords.
At Websitesimple we have had meetings with many clients who have had previous websites designed for them, some of them have been beautifully designed and look absolutely great, However an awful lot have not been meta tagged in a search engine friendly fashion.
A common mistake /or oversight is for the website to have the same title metatag for all the pages within the website.
(When you are browsing the internet in Internet Explorer, in the top left hand corner of your screen just after the blue ‘e’ you will typically see a title for the website page you are browsing, this is inserted by the web designer / search engine optimiser and is known as a meta tag, moreover a ‘title tag’)
This tag if used correctly in conjunction with the content on the web page can be a very powerful tool for driving visitors to your website, typically each page of a website should have a seperate title tag relating to the content of that particular page.
Getting the ‘Title Tag’ correct can genuinley make the difference between your site getting a hundred visits a week or several thousand visits per week.
